Welcome to my webpage!
I love travel, and have made this my career for the past 36 years! There are so many amazing places to visit, and not only overseas, but in our own beautiful country as well as our neighboring countries!
So, if you're looking for a beach holiday, a safari, a honeymoon, any type of cruise, or a business trip I will be happy to assist you.
I've gained plenty of knowledge and experience working in the travel industry over the past 37 years, in both leisure and corporate travel. I've organised and accompanied some large school sports groups, and arranged some high school tours. I can assist with special interest tours, such as golfing, photography, or church groups.
I pride myself on giving exceptional service to my clients, and like to develop a relationship with my clients based on trust and integrity.
As a Travel Counsellor, my time is flexible, so I'm available when you need me.
We have our own online system, where I have access to hotels, car rental and attractions all over the world.
The most important thing that we offer at Travel Counsellors is our exclusive Travel Trust, which protects your money should any company or airline I use go out of business.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to travel extensively, and have seen many wonderful places. Some of my favorite cities are Prague, Florence, Vienna and Rio De Janeiro. Scenery wise, I loved the Canadian Rockies, New Zealand, and Norway. For interesting and exotic places, I have to say India really took my breath away.
When I am not working, I love to paint......and visit our wonderful Kruger National Park!
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Whatever your holiday needs I'm here to help you, so simply give me a call or send me an email with your contact details on and I can get things started for you:
I absolutely live and breathe travel and I love to write about my experiences! Please take a look through my posts - you might find your own holiday inspiration.

I just returned from the most incredible trip to Kaokoland (the most north western part of Namibia), which I’d like to share with you. It is a very remote part of the world, and I arrange this trip for myself through one of my suppliers that are an adventure company. On this trip we had the pleasure of having Dirk and Altie, they are both well-known TV producers from the program Vrydag 4 Uur, with us on the trip. They filmed the entire trip, including some amazing drone footage which will be screened on TV later in the year. We entered Namibia at Buitepos, and headed up towards Etosha, this was to be our first big stop. Namibia has the most incredible big sky... that you can see forever! Etosha has a very unique landscape. It is a large salt pan, that stretches approximately 5000 Km2 and this forms the heart of this park. The scenery is very dramatic. There is an abundant wildlife at the Etosha National Park and this makes a great place to see the animals in their natural habitat. If you would like to know now about this trip please get in touch.

After a short 4 hour flight, we were welcomed at the airport with music, sega dancers and cocktails in coconuts…we felt like we had landed in paradise! We stayed at the 5 Star Shandrani Resort and Spa, which is located 10 minutes away from the airport, and it is a perfect hotel for a conference. It is has 327 rooms, 5 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, 2 bars, 3 beaches and a wellness centre. Their all-inclusive package includes all meals and most drinks, from the time of arrival until departure. This is really worth it, as drinks in Mauritius are expensive! The food at Shandrani was plentiful, and they had a great variety! Thompsons Holidays hosted me for an afternoon, to visit some of their properties. First stop was a 3 Star gem, which I knew little about. Situated on the south east coast of Mauritius, near the airport is the Astroea Beach Hotel. It is a small, beautifully decorated boutique style hotel which overlooks a stretch of powdery white sandy beach and a glistening turquoise lagoon! It only has 16 rooms, all different sizes, as well as 5 bungalows which can accommodate families. It has a restaurant and bar, and they offer massages, as well as non-motorised water sports like canoes, pedal boats and snorkelling. A bonus is that you can use all the facilities of their sister hotel, Le Preskil, which is just 2 kilometres away. Le Preskil is a 4 Star hotel, and is 15 minutes from the airport. It has 156 rooms, 4 restaurants and a bar which offers exotic cocktails! They have a wellness centre, conference facilities, the usual water-sports, and a fabulous catamaran which I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon on. Le Preskil Hotel is situated on its own island, and the waters around the island are crystal clear, so perfect for snorkelling! At Le Preskil they offer an array of intimate and romantic dinners, whether on the beach (feet in the sand), at a gazebo, on the deck above the water or on the terrace. I then stayed on in Mauritius, at La Pirogue Hotel. This is a 4 Star hotel, near Flic en Flac on the west coast. I found the rooms to be quite small, but adequate. The gardens are beautiful, and the beach must be one of the best on the island. It goes on for miles, and there is a reef, so it is ideal for snorkelling and water-sports. It has a lovely big pool, with a slide into it. There are 2 restaurants, and a bar. Right next door is Sugar Beach Hotel, which is more upmarket. The two hotels share a wellness centre, and you can have your meals at either hotel, so you have the benefit of eating at the Sugar Beach restaurants as well.
