My passion is travel, with my focus being to always aspire to deliver a concierge travel service to my clients, saving them time & adding value at all times by providing imperative advice on all aspects of their holiday. Of course I also love to travel myself and have been fortunate to visit many wonderful places over the years & would love the opportunity to be able to assist with your travel plans.
Working from home allows me great flexibility and it's been wonderful these past 10 years being able to grow a successful business in partnership with Travel Counsellors, as well as being part of the ever growing international TC family.

I was extremely fortunate to have travelled to Barbados for 5 incredible days, with 25 other Travel Counsellors and colleagues, during November of 2016. Travelling on my own from South Africa I joined up with the rest of the group.
We flew to Barbados with British Airways - flying direct from Gatwick to Bridgetown. Travelling with my SA passport I needed a transit/visit visa for the UK, but no extra visa was needed for Barbados. If flew from Cape Town via Dubai to London with Emirates, it was a long journey, but I enjoyed the break (and the shopping) at Dubai Airport. I then spent one night in London ahead of my8 hour direct flight on British Airways which was a direct flight. This was a really nice way to break up a long journey and something I would do again if that means that I can travel back to Barbados....
During my 5 day stay we visited 9 gorgeous hotels as well as participating in four excursions on the Island, these included staying at the Turtle Beach Hotel (this is a wonderful all-inclusive option for families) situated on the South Coast, we participated in a guided tour of Harrison's Cave followed by a gorgeous lunch at St Nicholas Abbey (this will give you an idea of what life must have been like in the old days with it's beautiful plantation house & rum distillery). The other hotels that we visited included the Sea Breeze Hotel, the Sandpiper (what a treat!), the Crystal Cove Hotel, the Fairmont Royal Pavilion (which boasts amazing views), the Tamarind, The House and the Coral Reef Club, also a stunning property with a colonial feel and it has the most beautiful gardens. For the last 3 nights we checked into The Waves & Spa Hotel. I loved the modern feel and relaxed vibe at this hotel - we had an amazing Oceanview suite with a view to die for, it is highly recommended! We were treated to a lovely massage at the Spa, this was so needed and appreciated especially after all the walking.
The absolute highlight of this trip (if I had to choose just one!) was doing a full day Catamaran cruise! I would recommend this. We snorkelled over several shipwrecks, we swam with turtles (bucket list!) and we enjoyed a beautiful lunch with cocktails whilst sailing till late into the night...it was so much fun and I had the most amazing day!
Other excursions included a trip on a submarine (this is not for the fainthearted or claustrophobic, but it is so worth it for amazing sights under water) and we also visited the famous Mount Gay Rum Distillery which is also a must for anyone who loves Rum! My suitcase was loaded with a few bottles to bring back home.
On the last day we had time for some shopping and to experiencing more of the local culture, after taking about a 15 minute bus drive from the hotel - complete with reggae music playing we got to see friendly locals, enjoy a relaxed vibe, see the stunning views of the beautiful ocean, taste some lovely rum...what more can you ask for from the perfect Caribbean destination!

Dear Colette, we are in São Paulo waiting to board our flight home to Cape Town, and I wanted to send a quick note to say a HUGE thank you to to all of you for your incredible help, very professional attention to every detail, huge experience and regular update and reminders which were so helpful. As a family we have had the most amazing Argentinian and Chilean adventure! I From the amazing sights, sounds, architecture, history and food of BA on bikes to the vast open space of Patagonia, the huge mountains, open plains, vast ice glaciers, lakes, lagoons, birds and forests. Through all our travels we met and were looked after by the kindest, friendliest people at every step - all the transfer drivers, hotels and the many guides we used were amazing and so kind despite our terrible Spanish…. The holiday included everything we were looking for with lots of fresh air and some good exercise, learning a lot wherever we went and of course the most delicious local foods and specialities and not forgetting amazing local wines! And there is still so much we need to see and do - on a trip in the future!

Hi Colette, thank you so much for all your hard work on the flights to Argentina, Chile, Brazil etc. my word. There is not a chance in hell that I would’ve managed to book all those flights and get it all right. You really did an amazing job.
We were also super lucky apparently. People that flew out of B. Aires to Calafate a day after us had their flights cancelled due to a storm and had to wait 14 hours.
There was another story that I can’t remember. But our flights pretty much went like clockwork.

When all options failed to visit my daughter in Bahrain, I was referred to Colette by a client of hers. Not only did she give expert and invaluable advice but she managed booked us on Egypt Air. She was a true professional all the way, offering a personal touch, which I have never experienced before! The communication was always prompt. She made sure that we had all the relevant travel documents and provided us with the forms that we would need at the airports, etc. She was with us every step of the way. Whenever we completed a check-in or where at security, we got a WhatsApp to make sure that everything had gone well. She got us the seats we wanted and we arrived in Bahrain. We experienced the same on our return journey. Colette even managed the whole check-in and the extra luggage, etc. She was only happy when she got the message that we are safely home. I have travelled all over the world for many years and I have always booked this myself. Colette has brought an end to this. Colette will definitely be my travel agent for my next trip and for the many more that hopefully will follow... I am recommending her to all my friends and family. Incredible service from Colette when booking a few days at Machangulo Lodge, Inhaca Island, Mozambique. She is prompt, organised and went the extra mile for my boy and I. She even organised wonderful cocktail sundowners on the beach. The best surprise was that the Lodge gave me my own villa, separate to my sons at no extra charge. Wow!

My husband and I were looking to book a 3 week holiday in Mauritius for our family. He had received some brochures from Colette a while back and we decided to ask her to quote on a few options. She really went the extra mile and gave us a dozen options to suit our budget.

Our daughter invited us on a boat cruise in the Mediterranean. Having never attempted this before, we approached Colette to help with the planning, air tickets, visas, insurance, accommodation in Venice, transport from the airport etc.
Colette immediately presented us with various options to choose from re times, accommodation etc. and explained the pros and cons of each one. She arranged a meeting for our visa application and helped with the paperwork.
Colette came to our house to present us with everything we would need for the trip, placed in a holder in chronological order and with all the contact details we would need at the various locations. She even booked us in online onto the flights with the seats of our choice.
On arriving at Venice we hit our first snag… We had a water taxi arranged for us by Colette to take us from the airport to the Hotel. That day all the water taxis went on strike. Colette's contact at the airport immediately arranged for a taxi to come pick us up and dropped us off at the hotel, at no extra cost.
Every single aspect of our trip was handled by Colette. I would strongly recommend Colette to help you with any trip you are planning abroad. With her help it will be smooth sailing all the way, no stress or worry that you have not covered all your bases.

I have been travelling for many years and have had umpteen travel agents. But coming across Colette Malherbe when I was looking for a cruise - I now would never ever change my travel agent. She has been the most helpful person and she goes out of her way to make sure that all my arrangements are met with first class service.
