On arrival in Mauritius - we found the people to be very friendly and helpful and noticed that they drive on the
left side of the road. With all the sugar cane plantations, this makes Mauritius look even more lush and green.
This 5 Star property is surrounded by 3 beaches for guests to choose from. The rooms are very spacious and clean and they are all overlooking the gardens and beach area. You have the option of selecting a Superior Room, or Deluxe room or Family Apartments. The Staff at the Shandrani Hotel really make you feel at home, and the service of the hotel is outstanding.
Shandrani offers 5 different restaurants to choose from. You can just relax on the beach or at the pool whilst enjoying a nice cocktail from the Bar.
I really enjoyed the Glass bottom Boats and the different types of water sports that is offered by the hotel. Believe me the water is as crystal clear and you can even see the different kind of fish species on the coral reef.
I was also privileged to visit another hotel on the Island - Long Beach HOTEL. ( A new hotel which opened in December 2010.) This hotel is situated on the Eastern Side of Mauritius and it was about an hour’s drive from
The airport. – You have to get used to the Mauritius way of Driving!
Long Beach is a different kind of hotel - you get the feeling of space and calm tranquillity when you enter the hotel. All the rooms are overlooking the ocean - the friendly staff like Stefane and his assistant Beety at the hotel really give you the feeling that you are special… and they handle every client in that same way and they go the extra mile for you.
The hotel is situated on the longest beach (1 km) coast line and all the rooms overlook the ocean – that is why they called the hotel LONG BEACH. Here you also have the choice of restaurants to wine and dine in, and at night they have a lively atmosphere in the Piazza area. This hotel is even environmentally friendly and safe – no chemicals are used in the swimming pool.
This is really a dream come true.
The Spa Area is situated between the Lush Gardens were you can relax and recharge yourself.
There is entertainment for the Children to help keep them occupied, whilst you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
So my next holiday would again be in MAURITIUS….

Goeie middag Hennie,
Eerstens wil ons baie dankie sê vir al jou moeite met die bespreking van ons vliegtuig kaartjies en verblyf tydens ons besoek aan Nederland, Berlyn en Parys.
Ons tydperk in Parys wat baie aangenaam gewees. Ons het in die Hotel Le Littre tuis gegaan en ons het in 'n gewone standaard dubbelkamer gebly. Daar is 'n verskeidenheid ander tipe kamers in die hotel beskikbaar, wat teen ‘n ander tarief beskikbaar is. Ons verblyf was baie aangenaam gewees. Die hotel is in 2015 heeltemal oorgedoen en dit is 'n pragtige hotel. Die hotel is gerieflik geleë, binne loop afstand van een van die 58 bushaltes van die "Open Toer Bus roetes" waarin die grootste gedeelte van Parys besigtig kan word. Daar is ook baie restaurant en verskeie supermarkte naby die hotel geleë. Die ontbyt was meer as voldoende en heerlik gewees. Ons sal die akkommodasie vir ander aanbeveel.
Die enigste feit waarvan ander bewus moet wees is dat die hotel ongeveer 'n uur se ry vanaf die Charles de Gaulle Lughawe is.
Nogmaals baie dankie vir jou aandeel daarin dat ons wonderlike herinneringe kon skep.

Greetings Hennie
Always so good to hear from you. There are not too many opportunities to visit exciting and exotic faraway places these days, however they are still fun to read about.
On many occassions you have made such special arrangements for us (from flights, accommodation, river cruises, a train in Russia, Mongolia, China and the Cook Islands (to attend our son’s wedding) to name just a few.
You came to the rescue without haste to change our travel plans when that became necessary (when we returned to South Africa earlier than originally planned, from Salt Lake City, and were not able to get assistance form the local airport, for whatever reason, but you were able to arrange it from so many thousands of kms away), thank you!
The many happy memories, and photos, are on-going reminders of the part you played in so many of our special trips.
We will always say a big thank you for that.
Once again, for great service over so many years, thank you.

Goeiemore daar in Kimberley,
Wil net baie dankie se vir die reelings met ons besoek aan Parys. Alles het klopdisselboom verloop behalwe dat die vlugpersoneel op die vlug vanaf johannesburg na Istanbul so onvriendenlik was met al die passesiers. Maar ek gaan die lugdiens sommer self daaroor bietjie inlig.
Parysse hotel, Parys self, en die effektiewe vervoer was alles hemels. Beveel tog aan as mense weer Parys wil besoek dat hulle vir 'n bietjie langer oorweeg. Disneyland is beslis alleen 'n week of langer werd. En het ons die dag daar geniet Charlene was later skoon in trane daaroor!
Ons hoop om met 'n volgende oorsese reis dalk sommer 'n paar dae weer in Parys ook te gaan deurbring.
Jammer dat ek so lank gesloer het om jammer te se maar 'n paar inbrake by die biblioteke het my gou teruggebring bib en aarde toe.

I would like to compliment you on the efficient way in which you have conducted our entire USA flight requests.
In the 20+ years that I have been travelling to the States, I have never in my entire career, ever seen a more professional travel agency present a total round trip itinerary ... one shot off with no glitches!!
The documents with all the explanations of flights and flight numbers, dates, times, who, where, when & how. What amazes me the most is that you handled all our requests to the “T” plus, your prices are very competitive.

Dit is net Hennie Hansen van Travel Counsellors, Kimberley, wat spesiaal in die middel van die nag 300km na 'n koerierfirma se onklaar-voertuig sal ry om my gestrande paspoort daarop te gaan afhaal en dit terug te bring, net sodat ek dit betyds vroeg die oggend kon hê. Uitstaande diens soos hierdie bied gemoedsrus wat geen geld kan koop nie. Ek beveel Hennie heelhartig aan.

Hennie & Rina helped me plan my honeymoon some years back and it was simply amazing. The level of service I received on my vacation from the rental car to the accommodation arrangements was organized to the very last detail. We had no hassles what so ever.
Rina & Hennie also planed our trip to the Kruger National Park without any hick-ups. I would recommend their services to anyone who is planning to travel.

Ek ken Hennie en Rina al baie jare. Dit is regtig mense wat omgee en hulle beste vir hulle kliente sal doen. Hulle het al by `n geleentheid uit hulle pad gegaan om dit vir my en my vrou `n aangename vakansie te maak.

Weereens baie dankie vir al jou reelings rondom ons onlangse toer na Egipte. Aangesien die toer in die “geheim” gereel is as ‘n verrassing vir my vrou, was jou bydrae, raad en advies des te meer belangriker. Ons het al verskeie vorige besprekings via jou gedoen, en jou vriendelikheid, hulp en advies was nog altyd van groot waarde. Dankie ook vir jou bystand toe ons die toer op kort kennisgewing moes uitstel na ‘n latere datum.
Weereens dankie vir jou moeite en insette met ons toer, en al het ons onlangs na Gauteng verhuis, bly jy die eerste keuse by wie ons aanklop vir al ons vlug, toer en reisrëelings.

Hennie en Rina, Ons is veilig terug uit Australië en dit was baie lekker daar. Dit sal gaaf wees as julle 'n vinniger vliegtuig kan bekom sodat ons nie so lank op die vliegtuig hoef te sit nie. Dis darem maar 'n baie laaaang rit!
Baie dankie vir julle reëlings, dit was puik en alles het vlot verloop. Lyk my julle het tot met die doeane dinge gereël, want ons is sonder enige probleme gladweg deur hulle.
Ek het so 'n bietjie gesondheidsprobleme opgedoen en was feitlik 'n hele dag in die hospitaal. Ons sal maar 'n eis teen die versekering instel sodra ons die rekening ontvang het.
Nogmaals baie dankie. Wees verseker dat ons julle reeds oral hoog aanbeveel.
