This incredible 12-day adventure begins and ends in Cairo, exploring some of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks. From the towering Pyramids of Giza to the grandeur of Karnak Temple, experience the country’s ancient wonders in style. With the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum set to fully open in July 2025, all departures from September 2025 onwards will include a visit to this world-class attraction.
Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Cairo
Arrive in Cairo and transfer to a luxury hotel, where you can unwind after your journey. Settle in and prepare for the incredible experiences ahead.
Day 2: Cairo
Explore the historic heart of the city, including a 12th-century citadel, the impressive Alabaster Mosque, and a museum filled with ancient treasures. Until May 2025, this visit includes the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities; afterward, the itinerary will feature the Grand Egyptian Museum on Day 10.
Day 3: Fly to Luxor & Embark on Nile Cruise
Fly to Luxor and step into the vast Temple of Karnak, a breathtaking complex of towering columns and grand avenues. In the evening, board the ship for a Welcome Reception and Dinner as the journey along the Nile begins.
Day 4: Dendera & Luxor
Visit the Temple of Luxor, an architectural masterpiece built over centuries. Explore the Temple of Hathor in Dendera, dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty.
Day 5: Valley of the Kings & Colossi of Memnon
See the towering Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that have stood for over 3,000 years. Then, explore the Valley of the Kings, where Egypt’s rulers were laid to rest, including the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Day 6: Kom Ombo & Birdwatching on the Nile
Discover the unique double temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to both a falcon and crocodile god, and see ancient mummified crocodiles. Later, enjoy a scenic boat ride, spotting local wildlife along the Nile.
Day 7: Aswan & Felucca Ride
Visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Philae Temple, which was carefully relocated to save it from flooding. End the day with a traditional felucca sailboat ride and afternoon tea at a historic hotel.
Day 8: Abu Simbel (Optional) & Nile Cruising
Spend the day relaxing onboard or take an optional excursion to the breathtaking temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II. These colossal statues are among Egypt’s most remarkable sights.
Day 9: Esna & Luxor
Uncover the Temple of Esna, buried for centuries beneath layers of debris, and see the last known hieroglyphic inscriptions in Egypt. Later, enjoy the tranquil scenery as the cruise returns to Luxor.
Day 10: Fly to Cairo
Disembark and fly back to Cairo, where you can relax or explore further. From September 2025, this day will include a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Day 11: Giza’s Iconic Landmarks
Stand before the legendary Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, experiencing their immense scale up close. These ancient monuments remain one of the world’s greatest engineering marvels.
Day 12: Departure
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your journey home or extend your adventure with an optional stay in Jerusalem.
